OAK ALLEY KENNELS
British Labrador Retreivers
Thanks to all of the wonderful families who purchased one of our puppies from this litter
. All puppies that we planned to sell are sold. We have decided to keep "Frank" for further training. He will possibly be available in the fall as an advanced started dog. We will keep the photo gallery updated with progress photos.
Here are a few photos of our dogs over the past few years. Unfortunately, some of them are no longer with us. We have been blessed to have had the opportunity to hunt over some really fine gundogs. To me nothing makes a hunt more satisfying than to see good dog work. After all as ethical sportsmen, we need to make a diligent effort to recover all the game we hit. A well trained retreiver will get the vast majority of birds that would have been lost should you have been hunting without a dog.

Philly and I after a great hunt Mississippi River Another very nice hunt this was in flooded timber at the same
sandbar hunt Duck Club south of Vidalia Louisiana

Maggie with Frank the Tank "Frank"

This is Frank. Frank loves to retrieve, He is going to be a really nice solid, blocky boy he has a beautiful head and is big boned.Water? He loves it, hits it with a big bold splash!! As you can see he is darker than Maggie and seems to be getting darker every day. He is going to make a really nice retriever that should be able to handle anything.

Here is Frank at a little over 9 months old in our first snow in about 4 years!
Frank is about 75 pounds of solid muscle and is very, very keen on retrieving on land and water.

Another photo of Frank in the Snow
At the present time I plan to continue to work with Frank, get him ready for Duck season next year and if he continues to progress as planned he possibly will be used as a stud dog on a very limited basis. this of course is in the future and all depends on how he progresses.
